Many are quite certain the China will indeed immerge as the next huge super power. In fact many bank rolling the efforts are riding this horse for all it is worth. The main leaders in China also rather fancy the idea.
Yet some say there have some issues they must deal with and some growing pains which have not be addressed to the point of satisfaction yet. And it is for this reason that one online think tank discussed this. One of the think tank members stated;."The have's vs. have not's scenario makes 18th Century France look like a vacation. Any advantage from their so called Industrial Revolution has really only benefited the VERY "fortunate" few -- and mostly the executives in American companies who sneakily farmed out manufacturing first down "South", then to Mexico, then to Hong Kong.
then, then, then VOILA now in China. Cheap labor.no, wait. Vietnam now even cheaper.
".Oh hell that's nothing wait until the robotics revolution. What the hell do you need humans for? They are a complete liability to the government you see? And as we propel to that future period; oh what do we see? Well, you guessed over populating said planet and more mouths to feed. Scary stuff and another reason we need a better "World Plan" or a "Planet Plan" or a World Franchise System of sorts. Do what works, continually upgrade efficiencies and do it now. The exploitation of people is something humans do onto themselves and it has always been this way.
Cannot say I am proud of that past at all considering my "Blue Blood" lineage, although my ancestry has always been on all sides of the issues; Kings and Revolutionaries, Conquerors and etc as well as the all the others. You know as bad as you make it sound, China has a lot going for it and some smart people carefully watching their money investments. But they have a lot of juggling to do still with the flows of their civilization; Water, Transportation, Energy, Education, Distribution, Currency, Communication, etc.
You know maybe we need to look at all the issues in this deal and consider all this in 2006.
